Ancient Wisdom, Embodied Now is my Substack, a space for exploring embodied spirituality, healing movement, and the path of love on a living Earth.

Through reflections, spoken meditations, and teachings, I share practices and insights rooted in mystic wisdom, somatic awareness, and the creative arts. My work brings together spiritual teaching, movement and dance, embodied ecology, and contemplative practice as pathways toward collective healing, presence, interconnections, and unity.

These writings and recordings are offered for spiritual seekers, artists, healers, scientists, and anyone longing for a deeper relationship with the mystical through the living body. Open to people of all spiritual backgrounds, this space invites us to remember that the body is always in relationship with the sacred, living Earth.

Why I speak, write, teach, move, create, and offer somatic and spiritual paths of healing:

I am Karin Najma* Stevens. My work is devoted to helping people rediscover the body as the site of spiritual awakening, healing, and love. Rooted in ancient wisdom and expressed through movement, creative practice, and embodied awareness, I invite others to walk a path where the body, the living Earth, and the heart are reunited. I believe true embodiment develops through movement—through a life that breathes, senses, and moves in relationship with the sacred, moving world. 

Body – Movement, somatic awareness, healing.

Earth – Embodied ecology, seasons, relationship to the living planet.

Love – Mysticism, spiritual awakening, unity, and remembrance.

*My Sufi name is Najma, meaning star—a guiding light. It reflects my calling to help others navigate between earth and heaven, offering light and direction through the darkness of pain and the beauty of mystery, toward the deep love, inner illumination, remembrance, and devotion through the living body, which enfolds the entire universe within it.
